Overview

The Collections and Technology division of Nashville Public Library is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic TV Production Intern to join our NECAT (Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television) team. The intern must be a current college student. This unpaid internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside internal and external producers in a professional studio environment, gaining hands-on experience with production equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist internal and external producers during studio productions, contributing to various aspects of the production process.
• Operate and learn to use various television production equipment under the guidance of experienced studio staff.
• Gain familiarity with broadcast automation tools, such as Cablecast, and support their integration into production workflows.
• Maintain and organize studio and customer data using the ZOHO CRM platform, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
• Participate in production meetings and collaborate with team members to enhance creative concepts and execution.
• Help with general studio operations, including equipment setup, teardown, and maintenance.

• Experience or coursework in videography, video editing, animation, photography, or audio production.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ZOHO CRM is a plus. 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation: Unpaid however intern will receive Free NECAT Membership for a year following completion of Internship. Ability to produce and air their own projects on NECAT Network. Free use of production equipment for projects to be aired on NECAT Network during duration of internship and a year following completion.
